River Past Wave@MP3 is a simple freeware program that lets you convert audio between MP3 and WAV files. It has a basic user interface, and only supports conversion of a single file at a time (no batch conversion, no drag and drop).
Features of this application are very limited, no advanced settings are available (so you won't be able to configure bit rate, channels, sample rate, etc.), and it lacks desirable tools like a preview, or editing features like trim, etc. You will basically be able to browse for an input file and select a name for the output.
I don't recommend this program. It presented many problems when testing it, first it wouldn't recognize many files, and sometimes it had to be closed when trying to open others, it does not include the MP3 codec. Instead, developers use the decoder and encoder included in standard DirectX installation, but if you want to test it, you can download and use it for free.
